Dr. Shelby Donahue

An experienced Women’s Health Chiropractor, Dr. Shelby specializes in pregnancy and postpartum care. Dr. Shelby focuses on helping women become pain-free while keeping them active throughout their journey into motherhood.

Before joining West Hartford Chiropractic, she ran her own practice and worked at a multidisciplinary clinic successfully treating people of all ages and injuries, but what sparked her passion was seeing other moms and helping them get back to doing what they love.

When Shelby was pregnant with her first child, she realized that there was not enough guidance between the two worlds of fitness and pregnancy. She found herself unsure of what was deemed safe vs not safe and experienced a lot of uncertainty. Now she is on a mission to share her experience and knowledge to help women feel more confident and continue to stay strong.

Dr. Shelby completed her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Connecticut and went on to complete her Doctorate of Chiropractic at the University of Bridgeport. She has continued her education completing coursework in pregnancy and postpartum athleticism, prenatal and postpartum care, and other various work in women’s health organizations. She is also certified in The Webster Technique.

When Shelby is not in the office, her time is spent training and coaching at her local Crossfit gym and preparing for her next competition. She currently resides in Shelton, CT with her husband, Samuel, their daughter, Rori, and their dog, Pacer.
